Atraco Apparel Visit IBG

Recently, Fakhruddin Amiji, Chairman of the Dubai-based ATRACO Apparels travelled to India and visited IBG’s apparel manufacturing premises in Faridabad, Delhi-NCR. Amiji, accompanied with his wife Batul Amiji, spent a day going through the factory and understanding its transformational journey of the last three years. Pleased and surprised in equal proportions, Amiji remarks, “The visit to IBG was a real eye opener. The operational excellence has us stumped and there are too many lessons to take.” Amiji was impressed with the fact that the style changeover time at IBG was barely over 30 minutes and the lines ran at 90+% efficiency although the average size of orders was only 2000 pieces. “We have order quantities upwards of 100,000 and are yet to achieve such numbers,” Fakhruddin shared. What further caught the attention of Amijis was the flawless and quality output. Batul Amiji even took the dip stick test and inspected the output straight out of the lines for a good hour and a half.

“Chandni is running the unit very efficiently and with tight control,” lauded Fakhruddin commending the MD of IBG. “The appreciation is valuable as it comes from an Industry leader with 30 years of your experience. We truly believe in the lean journey and still have miles to go but are in safe hands with Nimish who has set the right sustainable direction for us,” avers Chandni. Fakhruddin now looks forward to working with the IdeaSmith team and invigorating operational excellence in ATRACO’s manufacturing plant in Dubai.
